My name is Peter C. Guild, Pete to my friends.

I have never won any literary awards or appeared on bestseller lists, which would stand to reason because I’ve never put myself out there in word before. This is my maiden journey; please be gentle.

Whether readers embrace my stories or merely tolerate them, I swear I will keep on writing because I have come to find that writing is a joy, and there is only so much Sudoku, Crossplay, Wordle and Pickleball you can play in retirement. I particularly enjoy exploring big questions through fantasy, often finding humor, wonder, and a few unexpected insights in the spaces between heaven, earth, and human nature.

What I did to make money for 40+ years was respectable, but no longer seems relevant other than to underwrite the extravagance that is book writing.

Oh, I live in Phoenix, have been married to my best friend for 42 years (I would hasten to add, “but not long enough”), and my wife and I have an amazing daughter.
